Version 2026-09-03 · Empirian Interactive, Canada
This explains what empirian.gg collects, why, how long we keep it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be survived — if any part of it is unclear, email [email protected] and we will explain it.
The short version
- Just reading the site? We set no cookies of our own and run no advertising or tracking.
- Forum accounts have no password and no email address — you sign in with Roblox, and we never ask for either.
- We ask your date of birth once, work out a yes/no, and store only that answer. The date itself is never saved.
- You can download everything we hold about your forum account, or delete it, from the forum itself.
What we collect, and when
If you only read the site
Nothing that identifies you. We set no cookies of our own, and there is no advertising, no analytics profiling, and no tracking pixels. Cloudflare, who host the site, process basic request data such as IP address and browser type to serve pages and block attacks. That is their processing, under their retention rules, and we see only aggregate counts.
If you use the contact form
Your email address, your chosen topic, your message, and any file you attach. It is delivered to our mailboxes through Resend, an email provider. We keep it as long as we need it to deal with what you wrote to us about.
If you apply to be staff or a playtester
Everything you put in the form: your Roblox username and profile link, your Discord username, your timezone, your availability, and your written answers. We store your Roblox avatar image address so staff reviewing applications can see who you are. Applications are kept so we have a record of decisions; ask us and we will delete yours.
If you have a staff account
Your username, your email address, a password hash (never the password itself), your role, and your linked Roblox and Discord identifiers. Staff accounts are created by invitation or approval, not by open sign-up.
If you open a support ticket in our Discord
Our Discord bot copies the ticket — the messages, who wrote them, and any images — to this site so staff can answer from the staff portal. Images are stored on our own file storage rather than left as expiring Discord links. Ticket images are visible only to signed-in staff, never publicly.
If you use the forum
This is the part most people are asking about, so it is set out in full.
- Your Roblox account identifier, so we recognise you when you come back. If you link Discord, that identifier too.
- Your Roblox display name and avatar image address, shown next to your posts.
- A single yes/no for whether you are 13 or over. The first time you try to post we ask for your date of birth, work out yes or no, and store only that answer plus a note of how it was established. The date is never written down anywhere. We do not store your age, your birthday, or your age band.
- What you post — your threads, your replies, and when you wrote them.
- A scrambled form of your IP address, kept for 30 days, used to stop spam and ban evasion. It is a one-way scramble: we cannot turn it back into your address.
- A record that you agreed to this policy and the terms, and which version.
Forum posting is text only. You cannot upload images, so we never hold any.
What we deliberately do not collect
These are choices, not oversights, and each one is a thing that cannot leak because it does not exist:
- No forum passwords. Sign-in is Roblox only, so there is no password to steal and no reset email to intercept.
- No forum email addresses. We do not ask Roblox or Discord for your email, so we never receive one.
- No stored dates of birth. We ask for one to work out whether you are 13 or over, then keep only the yes or no.
- No raw IP addresses stored against your account.
- No forum image uploads, so nothing of that kind is ever on our servers.
If you are under 13
The forum is for people aged 13 and over. The first time you try to post, we ask for your date of birth and work out whether you qualify. We would rather have Roblox tell us, since they already run an age check — but Roblox only shares that with its own apps, not with sites like ours, so asking you is the honest option available. If the answer is no, posting closes on that account and does not reopen by clearing your browser data.
This means the check relies on an honest answer. If we learn that a forum account belongs to someone under 13, we delete it and everything attached to it. A parent or guardian can ask us to do that at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will act without requiring proof of anything beyond enough detail to find the account.
Reading the site does not require an account or an age check.
How long we keep things
- Sign-in sessions — 30 days, then automatically deleted.
- Scrambled IP addresses — 30 days.
- Resolved reports about posts — 12 months.
- Your posts — until you delete your account or ask us to remove them.
- Moderation records, consent records and deletion receipts — kept. These are how we can show the forum was run properly and that we honoured a deletion. They identify people only by a scrambled reference, never by name.
Who else is involved
We are a very small studio and we use ordinary services to run the site. Each one sees only what it needs:
- Cloudflare — hosting, the database, and file storage.
- Resend — sends our email.
- Roblox — confirms who you are when you sign in. Roblox does not tell us your age.
- Discord — confirms who you are if you link Discord, and is where our support tickets start.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We would hand something over if we were legally required to, and we would tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.
Your choices
For a forum account you can do these yourself, from the forum under Your data:
- Get a copy — downloads a file with your account, your linked accounts, your threads and posts, and your consent record.
- Delete your account — removes your Roblox and Discord identifiers outright, ends your sessions, and takes your name off everything you wrote. You choose whether your posts stay readable without your name, or are deleted too. This cannot be undone.
For anything else — an application, a staff account, a ticket, a contact-form message — email [email protected] and ask. You can ask for a copy, a correction, or a deletion. We will respond within 30 days.
What we cannot delete
We would rather say this plainly than let you find out later:
- Your own messages in our Discord server. Those belong to Discord and to you, not to us. Deleting your forum account does not touch them. You can delete them in Discord, or ask Discord directly.
- Our copy of your support tickets is deletable and we will delete it on request — but the original messages in Discord are not ours to remove.
- Cloudflare's server logs. These are held by Cloudflare under their own retention rules and are not ours to purge.
- Records that prove we behaved properly — moderation actions, consent records, deletion receipts. These stay, identified only by a scrambled reference.
Keeping it safe
Sign-in sessions are stored as one-way hashes, so a copy of our database does not let anyone sign in as you. Staff passwords are hashed, never stored. Ticket images require a signed-in staff session. Everything is served over HTTPS. No system is perfect; if we ever have a breach that puts you at real risk, we will tell you and the relevant regulator.
Changes
This policy is versioned, and the version you agreed to is recorded against your account. If we change it in a way that affects you, we will raise the version and say so on the forum.
